Paul Moskowitz, Esq MBA Partner
Admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey
Paul Moskowitz has a Bachelor in Accounting and is a consummate lawyer and entrepreneur who launched and sold a variety of businesses while obtaining his joint JD-MBA degree.
After graduating from law school and business school and prior to founding his own Estate Planning and Elder Law practice, Paul hired, trained and managed a team of attorneys and marketing professionals in the billion-dollar mass-tort arena, representing thousands of plaintiffs against pharmaceutical companies. Paul’s background gives him a unique practical perspective that allows him to serve his clients. Paul takes pride in building trust with his clients and strives to help others preserve their legacy and to have a hand in shaping their families’ directives.
Paul's background and experience allows him to represent the elderly and disabled along with their families in the areas of Medicaid, wills, trusts, power of attorney, health care proxies, probate, guardianship and real estate. Paul also has extensive knowledge in healthcare, collections, business formation and succession planning and currently serves on the board of a number of start-ups and health care companies.
Abraham Kappel, Esq
Abraham is a graduate of Emory University School of Law and Elder Law College. Abraham has been practicing law for 10 years. Abraham’s focus has always been to be a compassionate and fierce advocate for the vulnerable. Abraham focuses on the areas of Elder Law, Medicaid, Estate Planning, Guardianship, Special Needs Planning, Real Estate, Probate and Asset Protection.
Abraham is proud to have helped countless families achieve peace of mind by fashioning custom-made Estate and Asset Protection plans to ensure that families are not forced to deplete their hard-earned savings and future inheritance to pay for the astronomical cost of long-term care.
Abraham is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates and Elder Law Sections.
David Sarraf, Esq
David was named an Associate in August 2024, upon his admission to the New York Bar Association. After graduating law school in May 2023, he had been working as a J.D., pending his admission to the bar. Prior to that, David began as an intern at Moskowitz Legal Group in June 2020 and continued to intern with the firm during his three years of law school. As a J.D. and intern, David worked closely with our attorneys and legal admin team, working in all areas of the firm, and was especially instrumental in the enhancement of our document production systems.
David earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in May 2023. His undergraduate studies were at Yeshiva University where he graduated in September 2019 with a concentration in Finance. David was admitted to the New York Bar Association in August 2024.
Malkie Scher, Esq
Malkie Scher is a dedicated attorney for families navigating the complexities of the special needs landscape. Her practice focuses on Guardianship and Special Needs Planning, where she provides parents and caregivers with the tools they need to protect and provide for their loved ones with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Malkie assists families in obtaining legal guardianship to ensure lifelong protection and advocacy for those who cannot manage their own affairs. Recognizing that long-term security is equally vital, she also specializes in creating Special Needs Trusts. These specialized tools are designed to enhance a beneficiary’s quality of life while carefully preserving their eligibility for essential government benefits.
Malkie’s deep commitment to this field is rooted in her previous experience as a Special Education attorney, where she fought for parents in tuition lawsuits against the NYC Department of Education. Her passion for this work began long before her legal career; for years, she has actively worked and volunteered with various organizations dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
